GENERAL
Yes, it is! At SROK Ads we deal exclusively in original vintage ads, prints, maps, postcards and anything else we find & sell. This means that all items that have a date attributed to them, are actually from that time!
SROK Ads has been collecting vintage magazines and newspapers for over 25 years and as such has a large collection already in-house – though it is ever growing!
Most of our items come from vintage Dutch, British, American, German and French magazines and newspapers, such as:
- Country Life, The Graphic, Illustrated London News
- L’Illustration, Paris Match, Le Figaro
- Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant (NRC), Utrechts Dagblad, Haagsche Courant en Nieuwe Haagse Courant
- Die Woche, Illustrirte Zeitung
Yes, we certainly do! We have an estimated 100.000 different original magazine advertisements available (which is why we don’t have them all in the webshop…). If you are looking for something specific, whether a brand or a theme, and you are unable to find it in the webshop, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Send an email with a description of what you’re looking for (topic, age, size – topic being the most important) to ads@srok.nl and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Because framing a picture (choosing the material, colour, passe partout etc.,) is such a personal choice, we leave that bit up to you!
Yes! We are always interested in new material – provided that it meets our standards (quality, age, topic of interest, to name a few).
Please send an email to ads@srok.nl with a detailed description of what vintage magazines/newspapers/maps/…etc., you have and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

PAYMENT
You can pay via iDeal, Credit Card, Paypal, ApplePay, bank transfer or cash on pickup.
There is a (small) charge when you pay via Paypal.
Via Paypal there is a € 0,35 surplus and 3,5% charge over the total transaction. These are transaction fees and do not end up with SROK Ads.
If you choose to pay via bank transfer, you will receive the necessary information for transferring with your order confirmation in the email.

DELIVERY
Your items are sent in a sturdy cardboard envelope or have a cardboard backing inside.
Everything is sold in a plastic sleeve.
When you have placed an order and payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email stating your order has been received. As soon as your order has been packed and sent, you will receive a confirmation email stating your order is on its way.
For “brievenbuspakjes” ad parcels within The Netherlands there is an automatic Track & Trace code. You’ll receive this code in the same email confirming your order has been sent.
For other countries please email to ads@srok.nl for Track & Trace options.
Orders will be sent within 2 – 4 workdays of the order being placed.
Orders will be sent via PostNL and usually arrive within 1 – 2 days after dispatch. This only applies to The Netherlands, other countries can take longer (sometimes even weeks) to arrive.
SROK ads is not responsible for delays once the order is in the hands of PostNL.
Yes! We ship worldwide.

Yes, you can! You can make an appointment to pick up your order at our office in Zoetermeer or you can choose to pick it up at one of the many markets or events we are attending.

Yes, you can! You can fill in the address during check-out. We don’t send paper invoices with our orders, so you don’t have to worry about that if the order happens to be a gift!
The shipping costs are calculated by the dimensions of an item(s) and the total weight of your order.
SHIPPING COSTS
Brievenbuspakje (NL): € 4,50 | Parcel (NL): € 7,25
Parcel (within Europe): € 12,00 | Parcel (outside Europe) € 23,00
When you have added items to you shopping basket and are ready to check out, you will see how much the shipping costs are.
The standard shipping costs of € 4,50 and € 7,25 for The Netherlands, will only be exceeded if the weight goes above 2.0 kilos.
RETURNS & COMPLAINTS
For orders within The Netherlands:
Your order should arrive 1 – 3 days after it has been sent (not counting exceptions such as holidays, strikes or other, unforseen, circumstances). If you haven’t received your order after this time, please contact us via ads@srok.nl.
For orders within Europe:
Your order should arrive within 1 – 2 weeks after it has been sent (not counting exceptions such as holidays, strikes or other, unforseen, circumstances). If you haven’t received your order after this time, please contact us via ads@srok.nl.
For orders outside of Europe:
Your order should arrive within 1 – 3 weeks after it has been sent (not counting exceptions such as holidays, strikes or other, unforseen, circumstances). If you haven’t received your order after this time, please contact us via ads@srok.nl.
If your order is incomplete, please send us an email with the products you are missing together with a photograph of the items you have received.
If your order is damaged, please send us an email with a description and photograph of the damage.
Please email us within 24 hours of receiving the incomplete or damaged order so we can fix the problem swiftly!
You can send your email to ads@srok.nl.
If by any chance you are not happy with your order, you can return the item(s) you don’t want within 14 days of receipt. Please make sure the items are sent back undamaged and in their original packaging. If possible, please return in the original SROK Ads envelope. The costs of returning products is to be paid for by the customer, not by SROK ads.
Please send an email to ads@srok.nl so we know to expect your parcel. In the email. please add your name, bank account number and invoice number or send a copy of the invoice as an attachment.
We will send you the return address in an email reply.
After we have received the returned products and they are still in such a condition that we can sell them again, we will transfer the total amount for the items you’ve returned to your given bank account number within 7 days.

We do our best to keep our webshop as accurate and smooth running as possible and, in turn, our customers happy! If, however, you have a complaint, please contact us via our contact form or send us an email via ads@srok.nl and we will try to fix what’s wrong.
Please note that all answers to ‘Payment’, ‘Shipping’, ‘Delivery’ and ‘Returns and complaints’ questions only apply to orders made via the webshop, email or any other online forum. These rules do not apply to items purchased ‘offline’ (i.e. markets, events etc.).
